#31. Keeping it Classy with Shannon Joy #LlamaMama
Returning to our regularly scheduled podcast programming, we are excited to welcome the owner of the late and legendary Rojo the Llama, Shannon Joy of Classy Camelids. In 2016, Shannon joined her mom’s non profit business of Therapy Llamas and built a for profit side from scratch. Her business focuses on entertainment and education, for young and old alike, of her herd of Llamas and Alpacas. We also uncovered that each of us hosts have a Camelid alter ego within the herd. Another fun and enlightening episode from a great local small business owner. Prost!
In this episode:
As a new business, it is easy to want to say yes to everything, but learning when to say yes and when to say no can help create healthy habits for your business.
Take care of your customers and your community, but don’t apologize for trying to be a profitable business.
When facing challenges, be decisive when opportunities present them selves. Shannon showed that by creating Zoom Crashers and Virtual field trips to help generate some revenue during the COVID-19 Quarantine.
In the end, it’s all about the animals and the joy she gets from the joy the animals give others.
