This week on Business Over Beer, the second biggest podcast in the Pacific Northwest behind only The Sasquatch Hunters, it’s part 2 of our interview with Freelance Travel Writer, Matt Wastradowski. In this episode, Matt tells us about a few more of his favorite hikes from his book, Moon Pacific Northwest Hiking. Also, we compare Matt the freelance writer to Matt the small business owner, and how the journey he went on, both metaphorical and literal, is the same journey that most small business owners go on. And, we ask Matt if he’s ever encountered Sasquatch, you’ll have to listen to find out if he has.
This week on The Business Over Beer Podcast, we welcome co-author of Moon Travel Guide’s Pacific Northwest Hiking: Best Hikes, Plus Beer, Bites, and Campgrounds Nearby.
In this episode, Matt takes us behind the scenes of his two and a half year journey writing this book for Moon Travel Guides, from the pitch and proposal, to the mapping and planning, and ultimately to completing, and writing about, the 75+ hikes, nearly 450 miles, throughout the state of Oregon.
After doing the Business over Beer Podcast for over a year now, it’s becoming more and more apparent, that we’re not just drinking beers and talking business…I mean, yeah, it’s some of what we do for sure, but it’s turning into something a bit more special. Our mission has always been building a community to help support Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurship.
The way Business Over Beer builds that community is a three tier system:
These Thirsty Thursday spotlights have been an absolute blast. How could it not be, right? Going to local Breweries and Tap Houses with family and friends, sitting and talking about life, business, sports and adventures in home schooling. Heck, we even throw in a little politics here and there.
This week was no exception for our visit to Brothers Cascadia Brewing in the Hazel Dell neighborhood, north of downtown Vancouver, WA. Brothers Cascadia Brewing has some of the most exciting and delicious beers in the Vancouver area. They really stand out in a highly ambitious Pacific Northwest brewery scene. Ben and “The Gangsta of Hazel Dell” himself, Jason Knopp, in all his gangsta-ness, were joined by the Area Director of BeLocal, and long time friend of The BOB, Valerie Hooks.
This week on Business Over Beer, the second biggest podcast in the Pacific Northwest behind only The Sasquatch Hunters, we have Part 2 of our interview with the founders of the NW Escape Experience, Rob and Tamara Bertrand.
In this episode of Business Over Beer, we talk about the community of local escape rooms, the evolution of their escape experiences into the virtual realm, the competition that is likely coming from larger escape room companies, and the post COVID-19 vision for the business.
